Go Cincinnati & the Zoo

Allister had a very busy month of May.

On May 16, he participated in his first community service event — Go Cincinnati — in which he joined an army of 6,400 volunteers to impact Cincinnati through various service projects in a one-day, citywide blitz of compassion. Allister “supervised” a mural project for the Lower Price Hill Community School. He met lots of cool people and especially enjoyed Go Grub — the huge block party in Washington Park — where thousands of volunteers and people from the community ate pulled pork, macaroni and cheese and collard greens prepared by the top ten chefs in Cincinnati.

The busy month culminated with a trip to the Cincinnati Zoo. Allister and his Mom were given rock star treatment and they were allowed to meet Slip the Manatee up close.

Love the pictures! Looks like Allister continues to be a happy little man! The trip to the zoo looks particularly fun - the way he is focused on the manatee and the way he loves his little aquarium crib light/music box… I think there may be a Marine Biologist in our family one day!
