Allister went for a hike to High Falls near Cheaha State Park with his parents during our visit with Grandma and Grandpa Fike in Alabama. The hike yielded some of my favorite photos of him.

Some new photos including today’s trip to see Santa.

“My dad is always taking my picture — just ignore him. I can’t get any privacy. He even posted a story about one of my poops on his stupid Web site.”

During a diaper change early the other morning, I had a passing thought that I’d not been peed on in several days. The reason? Allister had greater ambitions. Without warning, he unleashed a huge mustard-colored poop projectile on his co-sleeper and the floor. He narrowly missed his old man. I reacted by jumping in the air and uttering — quite literally — “$hit!” I would have included photo documentation but this is a family-oriented site.

Instead, a couple of cute pictures.

Allister’s Santucci grandparents, aunties and uncles along with lots of friends have all left for Chicago and Wisconsin. The house feels way too quite and too big.
